In 1979, Skylab Fell. One Town Fined NASA $400.

In 1979, a seventy-seven-ton space station was falling out of the sky, and no one on Earth could say where it would come down. It was called Skylab, America's first space station. By the late 1970s it had been left empty in orbit for years, slowly being dragged back down toward the atmosphere.
