The Hurricane That Swept a Rescue Train Off the Tracks (Florida Keys, 1935)

On Labor Day, 1935, the wind in the Florida Keys grew so strong it stripped the clothes off the people caught in the open. It was the most powerful hurricane ever to strike the United States. The pressure dropped lower than any storm before or since.
